Vale Robin Williams.

Hi everyone,

Sad to read the news today that comedian and actor Robin Williams has passed away.

The following was posted on social media, and describes how i feel.

“He fought severe depressive episodes for decades and was open about it. I’ll bet his addictions were an attempt to numb the agony. He did manage to achieve a long period of sobriety but suffered a relapse not so long ago.

It may have been by his own hand, but it was depression that claimed his life.

I hope that his loss to the world will bring about a better understanding of the constellation of debilitating illnesses that are still frequently met with misunderstanding and stigma.

I hope that greater understanding and compassion will become part of his already brilliant legacy of joy”.
